This is pretty much the best music video ever.

Guitar string oscillations captured with an iPhone. Reminiscent of earlier camera phone tricks.

DIY Cymatics - Sound wave patterns in water and non-newtonian fluid
I love the corn starch + water non-newtonian fluid trick and I love interesting uses of water vibration patterns. The combination is mind-blowing. Here are a few more examples. Even just water vibrations can be beautiful.
I haven’t loved fluid this much since the ferromagnetic fluid sculpture.
Actually, it’s not just fluid that’s interesting - salt on a flat vibrating surface makes a series of incredibly interesting patterns as you increase the frequency.
Oh, and the classic water-walking video got a treatment from mythbusters.
Do You Hear What I Hear? by the Bowen Beer Bottle Band
(via Matt)
I would love to make a song with beer bottles in the vein of Lasse Gjertsen, but I’m pretty sure I’ll never have the time. So just imagine it.
If you’re not familiar, you should probably see the original.
I like this remixer - he also did Rap Chop.
