I’ve previously posted about tax rates over the last century, but this graphic is amazing and worth sharing.
It’s very interesting that for a long time, the top incomes in the US paid around 90% in federal income tax (via wikipedia’s income tax article). To be clear, this is the marginal rate - the first X dollars they earned were taxed much less (thanks Matt!).
